Month 2 – February Highlight Reel

I have decided to change up the rules for the video portion of the 52-week project. Seeing one 30-second video clip every month just isn’t that interesting, and I wanted to develop my video editing skills as well. February’s video features my 5 best video clips edited together. Future months videos will be “highlight reels” of the best wildlife footage I collected for that month, and clips don’t necessarily have to be only 30-seconds long.

This months video mostly features wildlife found along the Boise River: a female Belted Kingfisher, a male song sparrow singing, downy woodpecker, and a male Hooded Merganser munching on a crayfish!! I was also able to film a drake Common Goldeneye at the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area near Salt Lake City. The little guy decided he wanted to join the eagles in the dead-carp buffet!

All of the previous 52-week blog photos can be found at the Wild Lens blog or on Flickr.
