EOC bonus episode: Voting for Conservation, part 2

Episode Summary:

Back in March of this year I put together a quick bonus episode of the podcast after participating in the largest presidential caucus in US political history.  Despite the difficulties associated with casting my vote in this caucus (the line to cast the first ballot was 20 blocks long) I was invigorated by the experience – in part because of the historic nature of the event, but mostly because the candidate I was supporting received 80% of the vote at our Boise, ID caucus.

Now as we all know Bernie Sanders did not ultimately win the Democratic nomination for president, and has been encouraging his supporters to cast their vote for Hillary Clinton.  This has led to widespread discontent and disillusionment within the climate movement, and lots a disagreement over who is the right candidate to support from a climate change perspective.

In today’s bonus episode, which is airing the day before this historic 2016 presidential election, we are breaking down some of these issues over voting for conservation.  We’ll be talking about the importance of voting, regardless of who you vote for, while also discussing the decision that is on many people’s minds right now – which presidential candidate we should vote for.
