EOC 181: Tree Yourself

If you were to count to a trillion in one second intervals it would take over 31,000 years. But what if a few billion of your friends helped? That’s the idea behind Plant for the Planet’s Trillion Tree Campaign. Using data and research from the Crowther Lab, experts say we could add upwards of 1.5 trillion more trees to planet Earth. That’s in addition to the 3 trillion already calling this planet home.

Meet Sagar Aryal, Global Chairman of Plant for the Planet. Listen as he discusses what this target could mean for global carbon sequestration, southern hemisphere wealth creation, disease reduction, and also what it means to him personally.
Sagar’s soft, but assured way of speaking will inspire you to believe in humanity’s ability to tackle this monumental challenge, and bring about a bigger, better, stronger future for all life on this planet.
